Find your way around the deal board, its controls, and the three top tabs, and explain why deals are tracked by stage.
3 areas
What is on the screen
Click Opportunities in your left menu. The screen has three parts worth knowing. Click each tab.
Columns of deal cards
A pipeline selector sits at the top left. Each column is a stage, and each card is one deal. A deal moves right as it gets closer to a yes.
Totals at the top of each stage show deal count and dollar value
A crowded column is a sign deals are stuck there
Each card shows the contact, value, and owner
Buttons across the top
Near the right you will find the Board and List toggle, the + Add Opportunity button, a search box, and a funnel-shaped filter icon.
Search needs at least three letters
By default you only see open deals
Won and lost deals are tucked out of the way
Work, setup, and predictions
Three tabs run across the top: Opportunities, Pipelines, and Forecast. Each one has its own job.
Opportunities is your daily working board
Pipelines is where you build and change stages
Forecast estimates revenue and may need to be turned on in Labs
Why it matters
Why deals live on a board
A pipeline does the remembering so you can do the selling.
📇
Cards, not sticky notes
Every deal gets a card that holds the contact, value, and owner.
🧭
Stages show progress
Each column is one step, so you can see where every deal stands.
💵
Totals add up for you
Each stage shows how many deals and how many dollars sit in it.
🚨
Stuck deals stand out
A pile of cards in one column tells you where to look first.

⚡ Tips
Forecast may be hidden until it is switched on in Labs, and it may not show on every account yet.
Filters start on open deals only, so a missing card may just be won or lost.
Learn where things live now. Each control gets its own training later.
If your screen looks a little different, look for the same names in the same area.
